We have a lovely antique porcelain bowl. We had it appraised and were told that it was probably made in the late 1800's by one of the Meissen factories in Germany. Piece has a green backstamp of "Germany" on the bottom and no other marks that we could find.
It measures 1 3/8" tall, 4 15/16" across and 2 1/2" at the base. Bowl features a reticulated (basket weave) design and a hand-painted romantic scene of lovers in a garden. Around the couple are garlands of flowers and little cameo style plaques with roses. A truly beautiful and amazing piece of fine porcelain. Very romantic and Victorian in style.
CONDITION: Perfect condition with no noted issues. No nicks, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. This is NOT yardsale junk! The appraised replacement value of this bowl is $350.
